I am however kind of upset over a recent development conserning DC’s next movie Shazam. I was kind of looking forward to this movie dispite being horribly disappointed by the last Superman movie. I had hoped with the evolution of Batman Warner Bros would have learned to respect the artistic freedom of its directors. Instead we see them hounding production to make things dark and gloomy… as if that was the appeal of Dark Knight. For me, and I assume everyone else that saw the greatest movie ever made, the real appeal is that for once a superhero movie was made realistic. Just like Raimi’s Spiderman before it, the new Batman series takes a real world view of the hero and shows us what life as a superhero would really be like. I had kind of hoped to see the same thing happen to my other favorite heros, but this latest deal with Shazam seems like a baaaad omen of things to come.
Warner Bros, you suck again,
