You know what’s awesome? The demo for Resident Evil 5. The gameplay is the same as 4, as far as I can tell, and I’ve been reading good things about the boss battles. Resident Evil could be the first franchise in gaming history to do exactly what the fans want, not change shit. If’n it ain’t broke, don’t add a bunch of superfluous controls or pointless level challenges. This may sound weird, but one of my favorite parts of RE4 was getting to the merchant dude and cashing in for weapon upgrades. There’s something satisfying and kind of serene about buying and trading goods after battling zombies and stressing out about time limits and getting your head sawn off, you know?

I don’t think we played the same demo. I found it clunky and damn near uncontrollable.

You were just stuck on Call of Duty mode. In comparison it is more stuttered and not as flowing, but for me it felt exactly the same as Resident Evil 4.
