Ok, so today’s strip is another bit taken from real life.  David and I went into an Irish pub close to his place thinking we’d have a quick drink, play some darts, just kind of hang out.  Instead we walked into a bad night club scene.  The atmosphere, like the setup of the bar, the TV’s all set to ESPN, the pool tables and dart boards, it all said hole-in-the-wall-anytown-dive-bar, but after the third Weezy song in a row we realized it was anything but.  Had it been any other night we would have kicked it old-school, but instead it was a few hours before the Watchmen movie premier and we were already in geek mode.  We chugged our beers and paid our tabs.  When handing me my receipt the bartender told me we should come back in a few minutes because they were going to have a live dj… as if that was what was missing.
