One of my favorite things about Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3 is the ability to join games in progress that your friends are in. Sometimes you get stuck on the same team.

Other times you are at odds.

Nothing is more frustrating than thinking you’re playing a game with a bunch of anonymous people, racking up the kills, and then suddenly witnessing your death and seeing the callsign of a friend pop up as the culprit. On the other hand, few things are as satisfying as joining a game in progress which several of your friends are playing, landing yourself on the opposing team, and proceeding to mercilessly rend the flesh from their bones. Bonus points if the team was winning before and you are instrumental in their defeat.

Thank you, Infinity Ward, for adding friend griefing to the mix.

Ok, so renewed PXC means renewed image. Between David’s new site design and some of the new art I’ve been making for our icons, there are ominous signs of horribly badass things to come all over the place. Here’s a bigger view of our new icons just because I’m really happy with how they turned out.

We’ll see you with new comics starting sometime in the next couple of weeks.
Noah
p.s. because we’re giant nerds, we would like to invite you to play Playstation games with us. Friendvite Jestmeister (David) or NominalAeon (me), I’d be excited for the chance to pwn a fan!

Okay, so maybe there haven’t been any rumors, but if there had been, they would have been correct.

Parallax City is reborn.

Be warned, the focus is shifting on this. One of the initial conceits of titling the comic after a city was that it wouldn’t tie us to a particular theme. We’ve done a good job of discovering what doesn’t work (and once or twice got a taste of what did). Now we’re going to try something else. All your old friends are out there though, and I’m sure we’ll see them again.

Keep watching…

Dear Reader of Parallax City,

We have decided to take a break from Parallax City for awhile. This comic has been a fun little adventure for us for the past year, but we need to direct our efforts towards something else for a little while.

Maybe you’re curious about what we’re doing? We hope so.

You can keep track of Noah over at Drawn by Mouse. Marvel at the animations that are 100% digitally produced! See the bunny people go on adventures! Watch a chef perpetually chop vegetables! It’s all there.

As for David, you can keep track of his upcoming story over at .45 Ways to Die. Will it be a comic, cartoon, novel, or some piece of interactive fiction? He doesn’t know.

So please, forgive us for reneging on our promise of providing you regular entertainment here at Parallax City. We’ll come back here someday (although some things will likely be changed). We love our characters too much to let them die a death of neglect.

Until then, we shall remain…

Your Friends in Time,

David and Noah

Who lead busy lives. When we can’t even put together an hour to kill WWII zombies, you know shit’s bad.

As such, there’s no Parallax City today. I think that there is going to be one tomorrow. I gave Noah a script, and he has informed me that it is “good”. I can’t remember if he said that it was “very” or “really” good, but I definitely remember hearing the “good” part.
